Hi, I'm Abdou-Latifou.
I grow food, build classrooms and study soil. I was born in Bassar, in northern Togo, and I have farmed for about fifteen years.
I study Botany, with a concentration in Sustainable Agriculture, at Connecticut College. Most of my work sits where farming, education and business meet. I co-founded Nour Al Bayane Wal Houdah, a school in Bassar that now teaches 56 students. I am building Rayhan Agroentreprise, a ginger farm in central Togo. At Connecticut College, I research how crop rotation changes the life of the soil.
This site is where I keep the work: what I build, what I learn, and what goes wrong along the way. I update it as the work moves.
I finish my degree in January 2027. Then I move into Rayhan full time, to settle land, water and buyers before the first planting.
